Jake joined the Melvin Engineering in 2005 having just graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.  As a Project Manager, he is responsible for complete project management including design, permitting, construction inspection, and project close-out working in land development with private developers as well as public entities.  He also applies his knowledge and skills to transportation-related projects.  Before transferring to FSU, Jake was a Pre-Engineering Major at the University of Alabama at Huntsville and Chipola College.  Jake's easy-going manner has won him accolades from clients and supervisor's alike.  He consistently demonstrates good character but has been recently recognized for the qualities of Availability, Determination, and Patience.
