Rachel Durden, Financial Manager, joined Melvin Engineering in 1992. She is responsible for the daily management of all financial activities including bookkeeping, accounts receivables and payables, invoicing, employee benefits administration, and payroll. Her primary responsibilities also include establishment and maintenance of financial records with respect to federal, state, and local grant funds compliance. Her historical knowledge of the company coupled with financial expertise provides invaluable insight to current and former clients and employees.

Susan Emrich, Chief Operating Officer, contributes general management expertise to the Melvin team. Experience gained from a varied business background includes business ownership, sales, and executive level management. Ensuring best practices in overall operations and management, she is specifically responsible for Human Resources, Marketing, and General Administration.

Evan McAllister, Grants Administrator and IT Manager, has responsibility for two major services – one in-house and the other for our clients. Evan’s years of experience in information technology ensures that our staff is well-equipped with the most up-to-date hardware and software necessary to accomplish everyday tasks. His primary responsibility, however, is to identify projects that qualify for funding from local, state, and federal agencies. From the first step to the last including project close-out, Evan has administered and continues to administer grant funded projects that total millions of dollars.

Ruth Melvin, Office Manager, is the smile, voice, and face of Melvin Engineering. As she meets and greets clients and friends of the Company, all are warmly welcomed. Her skills in demonstrating hospitality help make the environment at Melvin Engineering warm, friendly, and fun.

Landon Davis, IT Technician, is responsible for daily support in managing Melvin Engineering’s sophisticated computer network. His approach to preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, helps ensure that employees enjoy maximum production and efficiency.

Barbara Lee, Administrative Assistant, uses the career skills and experience gained in the public sector to provide administrative support to clients and employees alike. Barbara consistently demonstrates the qualities of availability and flexibility whenever called upon.
