With creativity and determination, our team of
Grants Specialists, headed by Evan McAllister, is responsible
for identifying projects and appropriate funding sources,
preparing applications, administering agreements, and project
close-out. Since 1998, our Grants Division has managed millions
of dollars in grant-funded projects located throughout the
Florida Panhandle. Funds awarded through federal, state, and
local agencies are a direct result of efforts coordinated by
Melvin Engineering. Funded projects include sidewalks, roadways,
wastewater treatment plants, water storage tanks, and recreation
facilities. Rachel Durden, Financial Manager, provides oversight
of pay requests and report compliance. Margaret Baudoin, in
addition to her responsibilities in Planning and Land
Development, has added her expertise in the area of FRDAP and
RBEG grants. |

Evan McAllister, Grants Administrator and IT
Manager, has responsibility for two major services – one
in-house and the other for our clients. Evan’s years of
experience in information technology ensures that our staff is
well-equipped with the most up-to-date hardware and software
necessary to accomplish everyday tasks. His primary
responsibility, however, is to identify projects that qualify
for funding from local, state, and federal agencies. From the
first step to the last including project close-out, Evan has
administered and continues to administer grant funded projects
that total millions of dollars.
