City of Marianna Wastewater Treatment Plant and Sprayfield Solar Power Projects

The project consisted of construction of a 1.9 MW Solar Plant at the City of Marianna’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, and a 400 KW Solar Plant at the City of Marianna’s Sprayfield.

The DHM team was responsible for all site layout, solar and electric design, project management, permitting, and construction engineering inspection. One (1) 10-acre site, and one (1) 3-acre site. The was the first of its kind solar power project for the Jackson County area, funded by the FDEP State Revolving Fund.

Collaboration: Engineers on the project: DHM - Melvin Engineering, Civil Design, Port Engineering, Applied Research and Design, Electrical Design, Multi-agency collaboration with City of Marianna, FDEP, Florida Public Utilities, and additional stakeholders and contractors.

Notable project stats: This solar project was the first of its kind in the Jackson County Florida area. Annual electricity savings projected to be $325,000.00.
