Jackson County Health Department

The project consisted of new construction of a full-service health facility for Jackson County residents. The 48,950sf building is situated on 11.92-acres located in the Marianna Industrial Park. Long time professional associate, Elliott, Marshall, Innes, P.A., of Tallahassee, was the project architect.
The DHM team was responsible for civil engineering services for the original site, previously occupied by the Sykes Corporation building which was destroyed by tornadoes. For the new health department facility, the DHM team provided numerous project tasks including, civil site design and structural design, infrastructure improvements, (roadway, utilities, permitting) grants administration, coordination with design architect, construction administration, and structural threshold inspection.

This project was successfully completed on an accelerated timeline, with groundbreaking in February of 2011, the doors opened to the public in October of 2011.
